I first reported these faults to Honda and Garmin back in March 2012.
It took a while to get anyone to agree that there was a problem but after sending in a detailed fault report to Steve Martindale (Head of Honda UK Motorcycles) and making lots of calls and emails we finally got Honda UK to agree to do something about it.
This new software is a MUST so if you have a 2012 or 2013 Goldwing you ought to call your local Honda dealer and ASK them to supply and install the software update – its free from Honda.
BUT – you WILL NEED TO ASK for this update to be done – if you dont ask it wont get done!!
Once the software update is done you’ll be able to download the trip routes form our Members Area and load them onto the SD card for your bike.
~ GI Joe I can't offer anything regarding the US model. You are better of getting Garmin or such, mount it on your bike and enjoy the lifetime maps.
You have to purchase the update CF from Garmin, a dealer can get it for you if you don't mind their markup.
Otherwise just go to Garmin's website and search for the page specific to Goldwing updates. Bob, Bob, tried your system for the latest GPS card, it works.
Customers in the United States will be able to order map update cards for the Honda Goldwing Navi system through this site.
For customers outside of the United States please visit your local Honda Goldwing dealer for updates.
